CITY OF ORMOND BEACH PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Ormond Beach Historic Landmark Preservation Board (HLPB) will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 4:00 PM, in the Ormond Beach City Commission Conference Room 103, 22 South Beach Street, Ormond Beach, Florida, to consider a request by Benjamin P. Butera, Inc., agent on behalf of Ahmad A. Sarshory and Firouzeh S. Toutounchian, property owners, for a Certificate of Appropriateness to construct a new single-family home and detached garage / accessory dwelling unit located at 70 Lincoln Avenue. The property is a contributing vacant property in the Lincoln Avenue Overlay District, and all new structures are required to be reviewed by the Historic Landmark Preservation Board for compatibility with the existing contributing structures in the district. ALL PARTIES ARE INVITED to appear and submit oral or written objections or comments. The failure of a person to appear during said hearing and comment on or object to the application, either in person or in writing, may preclude the ability of such person to contest the application at a later date. Copies of the application are available for inspection by the public in the Department of Planning, Ormond Beach City Hall, 22 South Beach Street, Ormond Beach, Florida. PURSUANT TO SECTION 286.0105, FLORIDA STATUTES, IF ANY PERSON DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE BY THE CITY WITH RESPECT TO ANY MATTER CONSIDERED AT THIS PUBLIC MEETING, SUCH PERSON WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS AND FOR SUCH PURPOSE, SUCH PERSON MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDING IS MADE, INCLUDING THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
