NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
YOU ARE HEREBY notified that the Punta Gorda Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. and the City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 9:00 A.M. or as soon thereafter as may be heard to consider the following request:
V-01-2026: A request by Jake Pretzell of Catalyst Design Group, as the Authorized Agent on behalf of Advent Health Port Charlotte Inc., Property Owner, for a variance pursuant to Chapter 26, Section 16.10, Punta Gorda Code, from multiple sections of Chapter 26 pertaining to parking requirements, to allow the construction of a hospital campus on an approximate 17.46-acre parcel located at 26072 Glasgow Avenue, Punta Gorda, Florida 33950. The applicant is requesting a variance from Punta Gorda Code, Chapter 26, Section 10.2(a), 10.3(a), 10.7(b), and 10.7(c).
LEGAL: A tract or parcel of land situated in the State of Florida, County of Charlotte, being a portion of the Southwest of Section 21, Township 41 South, Range 23 East, being a part of the plat of South-Highlands, as recorded in Plat Book 2, Page 6, Charlotte County, Florida; also less and except Lot 130, and the Southern 250 feet of Sixth Ave.

Said hearings will be held in the Laishley Community Room at 120 Laishley Court, Unit 111, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. Any persons desiring to be heard on this matter may appear at the above time and place. If an appeal is to be made of any decision made at this meeting, a verbatim record of the proceeding may be required. A copy of this notice and the associated public hearing documents are available for inspection at the Office of the City Clerk located 117 Herald Court, Unit 211, Punta Gorda, Florida 33950.
