PUBLIC NOTICE SANFORD AIRPORT AUTHORITY Notice is hereby given that the Sanford Airport Authority will hold a special set board meeting on Friday May 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., at the Sanford Airport Authority Executive Offices A.K. Shoemaker Boardroom, 1200 Red Cleveland Blvd. Sanford, Florida. Information may be obtained by contacting the executive offices during normal business hours at (407) 585-4042. Notice is also hereby given that the special meeting will adjourn to conduct an Executive Session pursuant to Florida Statute 286.011(8) so that the Authority may discuss Sanford Airport Authority v Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Case No. 6:23-cv-1563-PGB-DCI currently pending in the United States District Court Circuit, Middle District of Florida, which involves the appeal of Case No. 91234602 (parent), consolidated with Opposition No. 91235774 in the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Participants in the Executive Session will be: Kenneth Bentley, Chairman Charles Gregg, Sr., Vice Chairman Stephen P. Smith, Secretary Treasurer Benny Crosby, Board Director Jennifer T. Dane, Board Director Emory Green, Jr., Board Director Frank Ioppolo, Jr., Board Director William R. Miller, Board Director Richard Sweat, Board Director Nicole Martz, SAA President &amp; CEO Brett R. Renton, SAA Legal Counsel Woodrow "Woody" H. Pollack, Litigation Counsel and a court reporter. All others will be excluded during the Executive Session. The length of the Executive Session is estimated to be approximately 60 minutes. After the Executive Session, the Sanford Airport Authority Board will reconvene for further business. Pursuant to Florida Statute 286.011(8), both attorney-client sessions will be recorded by a certified court reporter. However, the transcript of the proceeding will be exempt from the Florida Public Records Act until such time as any litigation is concluded. At the conclusion of the litigation, the transcript may be obtained from the executive offices by calling the Executive Assistant to the President during normal business hours at (407)585-4042. Please take notice that if any person decides to appeal any decision made by the Sanford Airport Authority with respect to any matter considered at the meeting or hearing scheduled herein, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based, per Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes.
