CITY OF SATELLITE BEACH
Notice of Public Hearing
The City of Satellite Beach Planning Board will conduct a Public Hearing on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 6:00 P.M., in the Council Chamber, 565 Cassia Boulevard, Satellite Beach, Florida concerning the following items:
1) PZE -00000006: Request to vacate a portion of Beach Drive right-of-way located North of intersection at Sunrise Ave. and Beach Drive.
2) PZE -00000007 Amendment to the City Code Section Sec 30-504 (f) and 30-506 Signs; to align local regulations with the Florida Administrative Code Section 14-10.
3) PZE -00000008 Amending City Code Section 30-416 (c)(15) to allow rentals of Low-Speed Vehicles as a conditional use. To add definition to City Code Section 30-107 to include including rental of low-speed vehicles (LSVs); provided, however, that all LSVs shall be stored inside or behind a 95 percent opaque fence and not be visible over top of the fence, a vegetative buffer may be substituted for conventional fencing.
4) PZE -00000009 Amending City Code Section 30-416 (b)(6)(c) to remove hours of operation from the code; Section 30-903 (4) removing limited t the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and to extend hours of operations for food trucks in Section 30-560 (g), to 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
5) PZE -00000010 Amending City Code Section 30-605 (d) to prohibit sales and rentals of goods and services on beaches within the city limits; To add a definition to City Code Section 30-107 to include Goods; any tangible item, including but not limited to food, merchandise, or equipment.
6) PZE -00000011 Amending City Code Section 30-737(b), 30-415 (d)(3)(e)(5), 30-415.5 (c)(2)(e)(5), and 30-416 (e)(2)(e)(5); to include Dune Walkovers/ Beach Access. To add definition to Section 30-107, Dune Walkover, (or crossover) is defined as an elevated wooden structure designed to allow pedestrian access over the sand dunes to the beach while protecting the delicate dune ecosystem and vegetation from foot traffic.
