NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION TOWN OF ORCHID Notice is hereby given that a Special Election will be held for the Town of Orchid, Florida, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. All duly registered and qualified voters of the Town of Orchid are eligible to participate in this election. The following question will appear on the ballot as provided by law. Comprehensive Update of the Charter of the Town of Orchid The Town's Charter was last replaced in 1988 to address the changing nature of the community at that time. The community has evolved a great deal more since then. Updating of the Charter is proposed to better reflect the Town now, to clarify and reorganize existing provisions, streamline processes, incorporate new best practices, and align the Charter with current state law. Shall the above Charter Amendment be adopted? Yes for Adoption ___ No for Rejection ___ Polling Location and Hours: Indian River Shores Community Center 6001 Jimmy Buffet Memorial Hwy (A1A) Indian River Shores, FL 32963 Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Vote by Mail: You may also vote by mail in this election. Voters can request a vote-by-mail ballot from the Indian River County Supervisor of Elections by 5:00 p.m. on February 12, 2026. Completed vote-by-mail ballots must be received at the Supervisor of Elections Office (4375 43rd Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32967) by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.
