PUBLIC NOTICE Public Hearing A public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, April 23rd, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. in the Sumter County Board of Commissioners Board Room at 500 West Lamar Street, Americus, Georgia with the Board of Zoning Appeals for the purpose of receiving citizens input and comments to discuss the following request. This meeting will be held in person. 2026-V-04-004: To consider a request from Dannette Nacole Sasser to vary the minimum acreage requirements in an Agricultural (AG) zone at parcel 2606-127-1, also known as 414 Dupree Rd., from 5 acres to roughly 1.4 acres. As set forth in the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1992, Sumter County does not discriminate on the basis of disability, and will assist citizens with special needs given proper notice of seven (7) working days.
