Sealed bids for concrete replacement at two middle schools are being accepted.

REQUEST FOR BIDS
Deerfield Public Schools District 109 is accepting sealed bids for Re-Bid 2026 Sitework Concrete Replacement at Caruso Middle School and Shepard Middle School.

All prospective Bidders must attend a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM, at the Buildings and Grounds Building of the School District at 1803 Montgomery Road, Deerfield, Illinois 60015. Bidders must attend the meeting in order to familiarize themselves with the project, which will be attended by both the Owner and the Consultant. It is the responsibility of the Bidder/Contractor to attend and sign in. Failure to attend and be included on the official list of attendees shall result in the rejection of any bids submitted by those non-attending Contractors. The company name registered at sign-in must be the same as that of the company submitting the quotations. This will be the only time that the Contractors shall be allowed escorted access to the project sites. Contractors must present a valid state identification card upon arrival for the prebid conference.

Stipulated Lump Sum Bids will be received until 10:00 AM, local standard time, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Buildings and Grounds Building of the School District at 1803 Montgomery Road, Deerfield, Illinois 60015 during the hours of 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, except holidays. Bids will be publicly opened immediately following. Bids received after designated time and date of bid opening shall not be considered.

Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid shall be submitted with the bid. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds and Certificate of Insurance will be required from the successful Bidder.

The Board of Education, Deerfield Public Schools District 109 reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures, and to award the contract to the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder in a manner best serving the interest of the School District, as determined in the sole discretion of the Board of Education.

All Bidders must comply with Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/1, et seq., requiring the payment of prevailing wage rates to all laborers, workmen and mechanics working on publicly-funded projects. If during the time period of work, these rates change, the contractor shall be responsible for additional costs without any change to the contract amount.
