Sealed bids for Deerfield Park District's asphalt projects due April 23, 2026.

Sealed bids for the Deerfield Park District's 2026 District Wide Asphalt Projects will be received by the Deerfield Park District at our office, 836 Jewett Park Drive, Deerfield, Illinois 60015. Bids will be received until exactly 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026 and then publicly opened and read. Bids submitted after closing time will be returned unopened.  No oral or telephone proposals or modifications will be considered. The work primarily consists of sealcoating and/or asphalt work. The scope of work includes minor removals, misc. concrete curbing, mill & asphalt overlay asphalt paving at the north parking lot of Jewett Park, crack fill, sealcoating and striping for the south parking lot of Jewett Park and the west parking lot of Woodland Park, crack fill and sealcoating of pathways at Floral, Jaycee, Maplewood and Clavey Park. 
Digital Bid Documents may be obtained free of charge from the office of Design Perspectives, 1167 Hobson Mill Drive, Naperville, Illinois 60540 starting April 8, 2026 between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday. Each bid must be placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked "2026 District Wide Asphalt Projects”. All bids must include a ten percent (10%) Bid Guarantee and duly executed and notarized Bid Certification under Section 33E-11 of the criminal code of 1961, as amended, on the form provided by the Deerfield Park District.  Failure to provide Bid Certification within 48 hours of the bid opening shall be cause for rejecting the bid.  No bidder may withdraw their proposal after the hour set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) calendar days.
The Deerfield Park District requires all Bidders to comply with all provisions of the Prevailing Wage Ordinance #10-6.  This Ordinance specifies that no less than the general prevailing rate of wages as found by the Park District or Department of Labor or determined by a court on review shall be paid each craft or type of worker or mechanic needed to execute the contract or perform the work.  A certified payroll will be required from Bidders for all employees performing work at job site upon completion of project.  
The Deerfield Park District may reject any or all of the bids on any basis and without disclosure of a reason.  The failure to make such a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim, or cause of action by any unsuccessful Bidder against the Deerfield Park District.
