Joliet Park District invites bids for the Airport Roof Main Hangar Project.

PUBLIC NOTICE JOLIET PARK DISTRICT INVITATION TO BID  PROJECT TITLE: Airport Roof Main Hangar Project PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Joliet Park District is requesting bids for removing and replacing on the Joliet Airport Main Hangar. BID OPENING: The Joliet Park District will receive sealed bids at 3000 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL 60435. All bids must be delivered to the Inwood Athletic Club, 1st Floor, until 10:30 A.M. local time on May 12, 2026, when all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Prospective Bidders must purchase contract documents through Quest Construction Data Network (QUESTCDN) starting April 30, 2026. This can be done via a link at www.jolietpark.org or the QUESTCDN website (www.questcdn.com). QUESTCDN is a web-based platform for construction project advertisements, bid documents distribution and plan holder lists. Prospective bidders will need the eight-digit QUESTCDN project number 10185259 to locate the job on the QUESTCDN website search page. There is a $22.00 non-refundable cost for downloading the contract documents in a pdf format. Bids will not be accepted from any prospective bidder who has not purchased contract documents through QUESTCDN. Each bid must be placed in a sealed, opaque envelope clearly marked "Sealed Bid: Airport Roof Main Hangar Project” and addressed to the Joliet Park District, Inwood Athletic Club, 2nd Floor, 3000 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL 60435, Attention: Sean Caddigan, Deputy Director. Bids will be received until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, and thereafter will be publicly opened and read aloud at the same address in the District's Board room. The Joliet Park District Board of Park Commissioners reserves the right to waive all technicalities, to accept or reject any or all bids, to accept only portions of a proposal and reject the remainder without disclosure for any reason. Failure to make such a disclosure will not result in accrual of any right, claim or cause of action by any Bidder against the Joliet Park District. The Work of this Project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. A prevailing wage determination has been made by the Illinois Department of Labor for public works projects in Will County. The Contract entered into for the Work will be drawn in compliance with said law and proposals should be prepared accordingly and provide for payment of all laborers, workmen, and mechanics needed to perform the Work at no less than the prevailing rate of wages (or the prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work) for each craft, type of worker, or mechanic. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond or bank cashier's check payable to the Joliet Park District for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No proposals or bids will be considered unless accompanied by such bond or check. Bids shall not include federal excise tax or state sales tax for materials and equipment to be incorporated in, or fully consumed in the performance of, the work. An Exemption Certificate will be furnished by the Joliet Park District on request of the Bidder, for use in connection with this project only.
