Sealed bids invited for asphalt surfacing project in Joliet Township.

PUBLIC NOTICE  ADVERTISEMENT TO BID JOLIET TOWNSHIP GOVERNMENT  H.O.W. 575 E. Jackson Street Asphalt Surfacing  Project No. GT2026-02 The Joliet Township Government does hereby invite sealed bids for the H.O.W. 575 E. Jackson Street Asphalt Surfacing, Project No. GT2026-02, in accordance with the Illinois Township Code (60 ILCS 1/85-30). Bids will be received at the Office of the Town Clerk, Joliet Township Government Office, 175 West Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois 60432, before 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Thereafter all proposals received will be publicly opened at the Town Hall Meeting Room, 175 West Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois 60432, at the north end of the Township Building and the bid price read aloud. Electronic Bid Submission: Electronic sealed proposals will also be accepted via email to:  clerk@joliettownship.net. Electronic bids must be received by 1:30 PM CST on May 13, 2026. Email subject line should read: "SEALED BID - H.O.W. 575 E. Jackson Street Asphalt Surfacing GT2026-02 - [COMPANY NAME]". Joliet Township is not responsible for transmission or delivery errors. It is the bidder's responsibility to confirm receipt of electronic submissions. Instructions to Bidders: Specifications and bid forms may be obtained from the Office of the Town Clerk, 175 West Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois 60432, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, excluding legal holidays. Electronic forms can be accessed at www.joliettownship.net (click on "Bids"). All proposals must be accompanied by a bank cashier's check or certified check for two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) made payable to the Township of Joliet. Questions: All questions must be submitted in writing to Tyler Giacalone by email at tgiacalone@joliettownship.net. The cut-off for questions shall be 4:00 PM CST on Friday, May 8, 2026. Replies and/or addenda will be posted on the Township website and emailed to all known potential bidders by 4:00 PM CST on Monday, May 11, 2026. In addition, all bidders must comply with the Responsible Bidder Act of the State of Illinois (30 ILCS 500/30- 22). The successful bidder will be required to provide a Certificate of Insurance as set forth in the Invitation to Bid and the general terms and conditions. The Joliet Township Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids, part of any and all bids, or to waive technical errors or omissions in bids. The Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) to the extent required by law. No bidder may withdraw their bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
