COUNTY ZONING NOTICE STATE OF ILLINOIS  SS COUNTY OF KANKAKEE  PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to all concerned in Kankakee County, Illinois, that a public hearing will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. at the Kankakee County Administration Building, 189 East Court Street, 4th Floor, Kankakee, Illinois. The  purpose of the public hearing is to consider a Text Amendment to the Kankakee County Code of Ordinances in Chapter 121, Sections 3, 99, 146, 208, 209, 281, 295, and 297 regarding the siting, permitting, and  regulation of renewable  energy facilities as a result of the State of Illinois Public Act 104-0458. Such hearing is the result of a petition filed by Kankakee County, applicant, ZBA Case #26-02, which is on file and available for examination in the Office of the County Clerk of the County of Kankakee and State of Illinois, in the Kankakee County Administration Building, First Floor, 189 East Court Street, Kankakee, Illinois. All persons interested are  invited to attend said hearing and be heard. This is the only opportunity for which public comment will be taken.
