Davis County Board of Supervisors May 11, 2026 Bloomfield, Iowa Courthouse Boardroom 8:30 A.M. The Davis County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Monday, May 11, 2026 with Chairman Ron Bride and Member David Henderson present. Alan Yahnke was absent. David Henderson made motion, seconded by Ron Bride and carried unanimously, to approve the agenda. David Henderson made motion, seconded by Ron Bride and carried unanimously, to approve and sign the Minutes of Monday, May 4, 2026. The Board met with Engineer Ryan Schock, who reported on the blading, rock hauling, brush cutting and cross-road pipe repair work activities of the County crews. He further reported that patching on Floris Road is complete and funds donated by the Amish community would be used to purchase rock for 250th Street and Echo Avenue. Engineer Schock also stated a county resident has planted row crops in the right of way and suggested asking the County Attorney to send a warning letter to said resident. Matt Greiner, Heath Greiner, Ryan Heemsbergen, and Jeff Bassett voiced concerns regarding road width and excessive crown height, citing dangerous driving conditions and gravel loss into ditches. While the Board noted differing opinions within the group regarding 160th Street's width, Matt Greiner summarized that the group opposes the upcoming regrade on the east side of Highway 63. No action was taken, but the Board scheduled a site visit to inspect the areas of concern. All Board members reported on committee meetings attended.
