NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The West Des Moines Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing to consider a Permitted Conditional Use request for that property located at 1827 Pleasant Street. The applicant is requesting to operate a residential care home that will provide daily care for up to 10 residents suffering from memory related diseases, such as Dementia and Alzheimer's. Information on the proposed residential care home may be found at https://legatoliving.com. If approved, a building addition will be constructed on to the rear of the existing house to accommodate required building and fire code upgrades for a residential care home.

5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026
The meeting will be held in-person in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 4200 Mills Civic Parkway, as well as virtually. Virtual connection information for the meeting may be found on the meeting agenda posted to the city's website (www.wdm.iowa.gov), on the Friday evening immediately prior to the meeting date. Comments may be given in person during the public hearing or written comments may submitted prior to 3:00p.m. on the day of the meeting to the contact provided below.
