In accordance with Winthrop Zoning Ordinance Article I.8.C the Winthrop Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Winthrop Town Office (All Purpose Room) at 17 Highland Ave. and via Zoom: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/82479790392 Meeting ID: 824 7979 0392 Full ordinance language is available at the Town Hall and will be posted online. 1. Amendment to Article IV.12.G Off Street Parking and Loading - to decrease the minimum required parking spaces per residential unit in the Growth District from 2 per unit to 1 per unit. Multi-family will continue to require 2 spaces per every 3 units. 2. Amendment to Article IV.13.D Route 202 Development – to clarify the standards of this section apply to all property with frontage on Route 202 and that a vegetative buffer is required to be established if none is present. 3. Amendment to Article III.11, Table 2, to allow, by Planning Board Conditional Use Permit within the Village District, the keeping of female domesticated birds raised for meat or egg production, excluding fully mature male chickens. 4. Amendment to Article III.11, Table 2, Land Uses Outside the Shoreland Area, to prohibit residential uses on the ground floor of buildings fronting Main Street between Route 41 and Greenwood Avenue.
