Treatments target track ballast, shoulders, yards and power substations on Beacon Street, Blue, Orange, Red, Green lines, Commonwealth Avenue, Highland Branch, High Speed Line and Huntington Avenue.

What application methods will be used for herbicides?

MBTA will use truck-mounted low-pressure boom sprayers with hose attachments and low-volume backpack sprayers.

Are these applications following state rules?
