LEGAL NOTIFICATION OF INTENT TO APPLY HERBICIDES In compliance with Chapter 85 of the Childrens Protection Act of 2000, The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority will spray along its right—of—way for weed control, using a truck mounted, low—pressure nozzle boom sprayer with separate hose attached and/or low volume backpack sprayers. The target areas shall be along Track Ballast Areas & Shoulders, Yards and Power Substations. The herbicide applications will be in compliance with The MBTA‘s approved Yearly Operation Plan and Rights ot Way Regulations 333CMR 11.00. Proposed Herbicide Locations: (nnal determinations will be made by MB TA) Track Ballast Areas & Shoulders: : • Beacon Street • Blue Line • Commonwealth Avenue • Highland Branch • High Speed Line • Huntington Avenue • Orange Line • Red Line • Green Line Spraying will commence on or about April 29, 2026 with foliar and cut surface treatment concluding by November 30, 2026 and any basal treatment
