Achara Weydt applied to the Zoning Board seeking the following relief from the requirements of the Worcester Zoning Ordinance (ZB-2026-049):
Special Permit: To allow a food service (includes consumption/sale of alcoholic beverages) and/or providing dancing or entertainment use in a BL-1.0 zone (Article IV, Section 2, Table 4.1, Business Use #8)
Presently on the premises is 4-story, mixed-use building with commercial tenants on the ground floor and residential units on the upper floors. The applicant presently operates a food service establishment in one of the commercial spaces (known as 141 Highland Street). The property is located in the BL-1.0 (Business, Limited) zoning district and is within the Commercial Corridors Overlay District - Elsewhere (CCOD-E). The applicant seeks a special permit to allow for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages as part of the existing food service use.
A public hearing on the application will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 5:30 PM in the Levi Lincoln Chamber, 3rd floor of the City Hall, 455 Main Street, Worcester, MA.
