Notice to Bidders and Newspaper Advertisement
The State University of New York at Buffalo will receive sealed bids for project number 2026-044 titled Student Union Terrazzo Flooring until 6/25/26 local time on 2:00pm.
All bid packages MUST be submitted via email to:

Email shall include Project # 2026-044 and STUDENT UNION TERRAZZO FLOORING and "Contractor name" in Subject line.
NO BIDS SHOULD BE HAND DELIVERED OR DELIVERED THROUGH ANY DELIVERY SERVICE OR COMMON CARRIER. ONLY ELECTRONIC BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. The University assumes no responsibility for any Proposal that is not delivered into its aforesaid email address by 2:00 PM local time.
All work on this Contract is to be completed by 1/15/2027 as described in Specification 01 31 51 - Milestone Schedule, starting on or after the University's Notice to Proceed is received which shall be forwarded to the Contractor(s) upon approval of the contract of the New York State Comptroller.

Complete sets of Contract Documents for bidding will be available on or about 05/15/2026. The Contract documents may be viewed and ordered through the following website: www.avalonplanroom.com in the Public Bid section. Drawings can be picked up at Avalon Document Services located at 40 La Riviere Drive, Buffalo, New York 14202 after that move date. A walk-through site inspection will be held on 06/09/26 at 10:00am All interested parties should assemble at Student Union Main Entrance. Failure to participate in the walk-through inspection will not be grounds for extra compensation due to field conditions encountered on this project.
Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.
It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.
Pursuant to State Finance Law §139-j and §139-k, this solicitation includes and imposes certain restrictions on communications between the University and potential bidders during the procurement process.
