GENESEE COUNTY NOTICE TO BIDDERS RFP No. FD 26 – 01 Notice is given that sealed request for proposal of the following specifications to refurbish a 2012 Rosenbauer pumper apparatus owned by the City of Batavia Fire Department. Sealed proposals will be received by City Fire Headquarters Secretary by March 6, 2026 until 5:00pm local time. All RFP’s will be sealed in an envelope, marked on the outside “RFP for Fire Engine Refurbish”. At that time RFP’s will be opened publicly and read aloud. Specifications and requirements for said RFP are on file and may be obtained at Fire Department Headquarters located at 18 Evans St., Batavia, New York 14020. All RFP shall be submitted on forms provided by the City of Batavia. Questions should be directed to the Fire Department at (585) 345-6375, attention to Lieutenant Craig Huntoon. The City of Batavia owns the 2012 Rosenbauer pumper and will be providing said apparatus for the fore mentioned refurbishing and corrosion removal. Vendor(s) are hereby acknowledging and accepting all responsibilities in the procurement, installation of the following entails set forth by the City of Batavia on said apparatus, and removal of corrosion identified in entails listed below. Vendor(s) procuring and installing any and all work shall complete refurbishment and corrosion removal to said apparatus by April 1, 2027. Pursuant to General Municipal Law, Article 5A, Section 103, all purchases for materials, equipment or supplies of the same category that involve an aggregate annual estimated total expenditure over $20,000 (combining all City departments) shall be awarded only after public advertising soliciting formal bids. All competitive bids for purchase contracts awards require City of Batavia Council approval.
