TOWN OF OSWEGO PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM At a meeting held on 10th day of February, 2026, the Town Board of the Town of Oswego, New York (the “Town”) duly adopted a resolution and order, an abstract of which follows, which resolution and order is subject to a permissive referendum in the manner provided in subdivision 3 of Section 209-e of the Town Law of the State of New York. Said resolution shall not take effect until thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption, or until approved by the affirmative vote of a majority of the owners of taxable real property situate in Lakeshore Commercial Sewer District of the Town of Oswego as shown upon the latest completed assessment-roll of the Town filed with the Town Clerk, voting on such proposition, if within thirty (30) days after the adoption of the resolution, there is filed with the Town Clerk a petition signed, and acknowledged or proved, or authenticated by electors of the Town qualified to vote upon a proposition, in number equal to at least five per centum of the total number of such owners, or by one hundred of such owners, whichever is the lesser. For this purpose, a corporate owner of such taxable real property shall be considered one owner for the purposes of a petition requesting a referendum and shall be entitled to one vote to be cast by an officer or agent of the corporation or other duly authorized person designated by appropriate resolution of such corporation. The town clerk shall cause to be prepared and have available proper forms for distribution for the petition and shall distribute a supply to any person requesting same.
