ORLEANS COUNTY NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED LOCAL LAW NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there was introduced to the Orleans County Legislature on February 17, 2026 Local Law No. A-Intro of 2026 entitled “A LOCAL LAW AMENDING AND REPLACING LOCAL LAW 4 OF 2023 AND INCREASING THE MAXIMUM INCOME ELIGIBILITY LEVEL FOR THE SENIOR CITIZEN TAX EXEMPTION PURSUANT TO REAL PROPERTY TAX LAW §467”. PUBLIC NOTICE is given that, pursuant to provisions of Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York and other applicable provisions, the Orleans County Legislature will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law No. A-Intro of 2026 at the Legislature Chambers, 14016 Route 31 West, Suite 201, Albion, NY on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 4:25 p.m., at which time all persons interested will be heard. Members of the public may also attend the Public Hearing virtually, please visit www.orleanscountyny.gov to obtain information to participate in this meeting. Written comments are invited and can be submitted to the Clerk of the Legislature at 14016 Route 31 West, Albion, NY 14411. To be considered, comments must be received by 3:00 p.m., March 24, 2026.
