NOTICE OF ADOPTION-LOCAL LAW NO. 2 - 2026




PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on the 27th day of January 2026, the Common Council of the City of Glens Falls adopted Local Law No. 2-2026, to amend Chapter 177 Sewers and Water, § 177-37 Lateral installation: fees, to amend paragraph B regarding fees for residential, commercial and industrial users.

RESOLUTION NO. 31 
On the motion of Councilwoman-At-Large Gooden, seconded by Councilman Donohue, all voting affirmatively, 
WHEREAS the Glens Falls Common Council held a public hearing on amendments to Chapter 177 Sewers and Water, §177-37 on Jan. 13th, 2026, and 
WHEREAS that public hearing was properly noticed to the public; and 
WHEREAS the Water and Sewer Commission has offered a favorable opinion of these amendments by resolution on Dec. 1, 2025, 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Glens Falls Common Council hereby approves and adopts Proposed Local Law No. 2-2026 to amend Chapter 177 Sewers and Water, §177-37 Lateral installation: fees, to amend and add to paragraph B regarding fees for residential, commercial and industrial users, based on the recommendation of the Water and Sewer Commission.

AYES: Councilwoman-At-Large Mary Gooden, Councilman Dan Donohue, Councilman Dan Rice, Councilman Ben Lapham, and Councilman Sean Palladino. 
NAYS: None. 
ABSTAIN: None. 
ABSENT: Councilman Robert Landry. 
Said resolution hereby declared as ADOPTED.
