SCHUYLER COUNTY PUBLIC NOTICE Job Listing – Schuyler County Board of Elections Democratic Deputy Commissioner The Schuyler County Board of Elections is accepting applications for a full-time (35 hrs./week) Democratic Deputy Commissioner of Elections. This political appointment (non–Civil Service) assists in administering voter registration and conducting Primary, General, Special, and Early Voting elections in accordance with New York State Election Law and reports directly to the Democratic Commissioner. Responsibilities include, under the direction of the Commissioner, supervising and training approximately 180 Election Inspectors, overseeing Machine Technicians and voting system operations, maintaining accurate poll books and registration records, managing candidate petitions/filings, tabulating, and reporting election results, and submitting required time-sensitive reports to the NYS Board of Elections. Applicants must be a registered Democrat enrolled in Schuyler County, detail-oriented, able to maintain strict confidentiality, work effectively in a bipartisan environment, and be proficient in Microsoft 365. Required travel includes two four-day conferences annually (Winter and Summer). Minimum qualification: High School Diploma (Associate degree in Political Science or related coursework preferred).
