ORLEANS COUNTY NOTICE OF MEETING ARG Transfer & Recycling has submitted an application to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) for a permit modification for the current location at 366 Washington St Albion Application ID# 8-3420-00085/0000. Permit for the proposed modifications would increase tonnage from 150 tons to 350 tons per day, permit acceptance of MSW (municipal solid waste), and permit acceptance of recycling. A Public Participation Plan has been developed in accordance with NYSDEC Commissioner Policy 29, Environmental Justice and Permitting (CP-29). The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public about the project and to involve the community during the modification permit application review process.
