NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

COUNTY OF ORANGE

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Legislature of the County of Orange will meet at the Orange County Government Center, Legislative Chambers, 255 Main Street, Goshen, New York 10924 on the 20th day of May, 2026 at 3:15 p.m. to hold a Public Hearing on the proposed partial funding, in an amount not to exceed $272,569.00, by the Orange County Open Space Fund, for the proposed acquisition of a Conservation Easement by the Orange County Land Trust (“OCLT”). The proposed Conservation Easement, to be acquired by OCLT, would be granted over the Moraczewski Farm, consisting of 3 tax parcels (SBL 16-1-38.231, SBL16-1-74.2 and SBL 16-1-75.2), comprising 166+/- acres located at Little York Road and Hedges Road, in the Town of Warwick, State of New York. The Conservation Easement will be granted to OCLT, with the County obtaining a recorded third party right of enforcement and right to proceeds. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the proposed acquisition consists of 3 tax parcels (SBL 16-1-38.231, SBL16-1-74.2 and SBL 16-1-75.2), comprising 166+/- acres located at Little York Road and Hedges Road, in the Town of Warwick, State of New York. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the County Legislature has caused to be prepared and filed for inspection and explanation with the Clerk of the Orange County Legislature a detailed explanation of the proposal prepared by the Orange County Department of Planning.
