PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT pursuant to the Town of Lake George Consolidated Board of Health Article 115-13 Entitled “Variances,” the Town of Lake George Consolidated Board of Health will be conducting Public Hearings on March 24, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Town Center, 20 Old Post Road, Lake George, NY, to review the following applications:



1. CBOH #3-2026 – Michael & Christine McKenna with Hutchins Engineering, PLLC as agent.

The applicant is proposing the replacement of a failing cesspool with a new septic tank and absorption bed. The absorption bed will be located on a separate parcel from the house.

Variance is requested for a force main to run along a property line and cross a property line. All parcels are under common ownership.

Variance is requested for distance between the building sewer line and property line where 10ft is required and 0 ft is requested for a relief of 10ft.

Variance is requested for distance between the absorption bed and property line where 10ft is required and 5.9 ft is requested for a relief of 4.1 ft.

Variance is requested for an absorption field utilizing a gravity D-Box distribution.

Variance is requested for distance between a grinder pump station and property line where 10ft is required and 6.5ft is requested for a relief of 3.5ft.

The applicant is proposing the replacement of an onsite water treatment system with a septic tank and Presby dispersal system on a small 0.28 acre parcel with two seasonal cabins.

Variance is requested for the distance between the septic tank/pump station and dwelling 1 where 10ft is required and +/- 8.22 ft is requested for a relief of +/- 1.78 ft.

Variance is requested for the distance between the septic tank/pump station and dwelling 2 where 10ft is required and +/- 8.22 ft is requested for a relief of +/- 1.78 ft.

Variance is requested for the distance between the absorption field and front property line where 10ft is required and +/- 0.25 ft is requested for a relief of +/- 9.75 ft.

Variance is requested for the distance between the absorption field and dwelling 1 where 20ft is required and +/- 6.15 ft is requested for a relief of +/- 13.85 ft.

Variance is requested for the distance between the absorption field and dwelling 2 where 20ft is required and +/- 8.47 ft is requested for a relief of +/- 11.53 ft.

Variance is requested for the distance between the absorption field and well where 100ft is required and +/- 75.22 ft is requested for a relief of +/- 24.78 ft.

Variance is requested for an absorption system to be located underneath the driveway.

Variance is requested for the distance between the absorption field and pressurized water line where 10ft is required and +/- 3 ft is requested for a relief of +/- 7 ft.
