LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ROSENDALE PUBLIC LIBRARY DISTRICT CAP- ITAL PROJECT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIV- EN that the Town Board of the Town of Rosen- dale, Ulster County, New York, and the Board of Trustees of the Rosen- dale Public Library will meet at the request of the said Board of Trust- ees at the Town Hall, in Cottekill, New York, in said Town, on May 6, 2026, at 7o'clock P.M. Prevailing Time, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing upon a certain architect's map, plan and report includ- ing an estimate of cost prepared in relation to the proposed increase and improvement of the facilities of the Rosen- dale Public Library District in the Town of Rosendale, Ulster Coun- ty, New York, consisting of the construction of an addition and improve- ments to the Rosendale Library Building, includ- ing original furnishings, equipment, machinery, apparatus, appurte- nances, site work and other incidental im- provements and costs incidental thereto. The maximum estimated cost of the aforesaid increase and improve- ment of the facilities of Rosendale Public Library District in the Town is $1,950,000, with an increase in the annu- al budget of the Library District of $136,000 to cover the cost of the maximum annual debt service to be due and payable on debt of the Town issued on behalf of the Library District therefor pursuant to Chapter 530 of the Laws of 1987, and payable from the Library District annual budget. SEQRA DETERMINA- TION. NOTICE IS FUR- THER GIVEN that the aforesaid project has been determined to be a Type II Action pursuant to the regulations of the New York State Depart- ment of Environmental Conservation promul- gated pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act (“SEQRA”), the imple- mentation of which as proposed, the Board of Trustees of the Rosen- dale Public Library has determined, as such, will not result in any sig- nificant adverse envi- ronmental impacts. Full SEQRA documentation is available at the office of the Board of Trustees of the Rosendale Pub- lic Library at 264 Main Street, in Rosendale, New York, during nor- mal office hours.
