NOTICE OF HEARING INTRODUCTORY LOCAL LAW OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that there has been introduced before the Board of Trustees of the Village of Walden, New York, on May 5, 2026, a local law titled "Offi- cers and Employees," which local law would remove the Village of Walden residency requirement for the Village Manager and require that the Village Manager reside in Orange County.

A complete copy of the Intro- ductory Local Law is available for inspection at the Clerk's office.

NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 20 of the Munici- pal Home Rule Law, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Walden, New York, will hold a public hearing on the afore- said Local Law on May 19, 2026, at 6:30 P.M. or soon thereafter, at the Village Hall, 1 Municipal Square, Walden, New York 12586, at which time all persons interested therein shall be heard.

The Village of Walden will make every effort to assure that the hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone requiring special assistance and/or reason- able accommodations should contact the Deputy Village Clerk.
