VILLAGE OF WALDEN NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED LOCAL LAW VILLAGE OF WALDEN NOTICE OF HEARING INTRODUCTORY LOCAL LAW TAX LEVY LIMIT OVERRIDE/2026-2027 FISCAL YEAR PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that there has been introduced before the Board of Trustees of the Village of Walden, New York, on April 7, 2026, a local law, titled "Tax Levy Limit Override/2026-2027 Fiscal Year," which local law would authorize the Village Board to adopt a budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year that requires a real property tax levy in excess of the limit prescribed by State law. A complete copy of the Introductory Local Law is available for inspection at the Deputy Clerk's office. NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Walden, New York, will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law on April 29, 2026, at 6:30 P.M. or soon thereafter, at the Village Hall, 1 Municipal Square, Walden, NY 12586, at which time all persons interested therein shall be heard. The Village of Walden will make every effort to assure that the hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone requiring special assistance and/or reasonable accommodations should contact the Deputy Clerk.
