NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 2026–2027 special assessment to collect shoreline protection costs and charges for all properties within the Village of West Hampton Dunes has been determined. All properties within the Village are deemed to be benefited by the shoreline protection improvements. A detailed schedule of such costs and charges is on file and available for public inspection at the office of the Village Clerk, located at 914 Dune Road, West Hampton Dunes, New York, during regular business hours.
FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Village of West Hampton Dunes will hold a public hearing on said special assessment on May 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM at 906 Dune Road, West Hampton Dunes, New York. At that time, all interested parties will be given an opportunity to be heard. Written comments may also be submitted to the Village Clerk on or before 12:00 PM on May 7, 2026.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the entire Village constitutes the special assessment benefit area, and each parcel is assessed equally. The estimated annual cost of shoreline restoration for the 2026–2027 year is $450,000.
