NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The Board of Education for Madison Oneida BOCES, in Verona, New York, in accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law and Article 119-0 of the General Municipal Law, will receive Proposals for:

School Librarian Professional Development Services

RFP 26-04-SCD-002 

Madison-Oneida BOCES (MOBOCES) seeks proposals from qualified individuals or organizations to provide professional learning services focused on children’s & YA literature and authorship that addresses evolving areas of school librarianship and is aligned with school librarian core values and competencies. The purpose of this RFP is to identify experienced consultants who can deliver professional learning that is inspirational, engaging, and informative and aligned with best practices in school librarianship, while supporting them in aligning their work to shared purpose and priorities at the regional level.

The work should align with the NYSED School Library Program Rubric & the National School Library Standards (AASL,) and should build capacity across MOBOCES campus-wide programs and component districts: Camden Central School District, Canastota Central School District, Hamilton Central School District, Madison Central School District, Morrisville-Eaton Central School District, Oneida City School District, Rome City School District, Stockbridge Valley Central School District, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Central School District and the NYS School for the Deaf , as well as the co-sponsoring School Library Systems’ regions, Oneida-Herkimer and Otsego Northern Catskill.

MOBOCES will accept proposals from experienced consultants to support the development and enhancement of our educational staff and programs. The selected consultants will work closely with our team to ensure alignment with best practices and institutional goals.

Proposals will be received until 4:30 PM on the 17th day of April, 2026. Proposals must be submitted electronically (PDF format preferred) to:

Madison Oneida BOCES reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals in whole or in part, and to waive any irregularities or informalities. Any Proposal submitted will be binding for 60 days subsequent to the date of the Proposal opening.
