VILLAGE OF MONROE TAX COLLECTION NOTICE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that I, the undersigned Receiver of Taxes for the Village of Monroe, Orange County, New York, have duly received the Tax Roll and warrant for the collection of property taxes within the Village of Monroe for the fiscal year June 1, 2026 through May 31, 2027, and that I will receive the taxes of the roll by mail or in person at: Village of Monroe 7 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950 Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Telephone (845) 782-8341 Taxes are due on or before June 30th without interest charged. There is a secure drop box outside the door that payments can be left. Taxes are accepted as one payment in full (no partial payments) made payable to Village of Monroe Tax Collector. Payment of taxes may be made in person at the Tax Collector’s Office, 7 Stage Road, by check, money order, or credit card. Credit Card payments can only be made online at www.villageofmonroe.org. Please note that 2.45% charge is required for this service to the credit card company. Payment schedule is as follows: No penalty charged if paid by June 30, 2026 5% penalty charged for July 6% penalty charged for August 7% penalty charged for September 8% charged for October Remember to include the tear-off portion of bill with your payment. Keep the top portion unless you require a stamped receipt. Include a self addressed stamped envelope if you want a receipt. Final date for payment of taxes to the Village Collector is October 31, 2026; after that date, pursuant to the provisions of the law, the tax roll of the Village of Monroe will be returned to the Orange County Commissioner of Finance. Payments can be made to the Commissioner of Finance until November 15th. Unpaid taxes after November 15th will be levied onto the January 2027 Town-County tax bill.
