TOWN OF NEWBURGH LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF THE TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL (Pursuant to Sections 506 & 526 of the Real Property Tax Law) Notice is hereby given that the Assessor of the Town of Newburgh, Orange County, New York has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year and a copy has been filed in the Town Assessor’s office at the Town Hall located at 1496 Route 300, Newburgh, New York, where it may be seen and examined by any interested party until the fourth Tuesday in May. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM; closed holidays. The Assessor will be in attendance with the tentative assessment roll on Thursday, Friday, and Tuesday, May 7th, 8th, and 12th between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, and on Saturday, May 16th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM by appointment only. The Board of Assessment Review will meet on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 PM and from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Newburgh Town Hall to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments, on the written application of any person believing himself/herself to be aggrieved. A New York State Real Property form RP-524 “Complaint on Real Property Assessment” application is available in the Assessor’s office or online at www.tax.ny.gov.
