LEGAL NOTICE CLEVELAND PUBLIC LIBRARY REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES The Cleveland Public Library ("Library") is seeking qualifications statements in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Sections 153.65 through 153.73 from design-build firms for a the replacement and upgrading of the existing fire detection and alarm system at the Library's Main Library Building and Louis Stokes Wing located at 325 and 525 Superior Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio (the "Project"). The work includes fire alarm and notification devices including voice command evacuation, a new main fire alarm panel and remote annunciator panel, elevator fire alarm interface, emergency response wireless radio system, integration with the mechanical building control system and security system, and all necessary architectural modifications as indicated in the criteria documents. The scope of work must ensure the upgraded alarm system is in compliance with all current applicable codes and standards. The design-build firm will be expected to provide the following services: develop and maintain estimates of probable construction cost, value engineering, project schedules, and construction schedules; lead and manage the Schematic Design, Design Development, Subcontractor Prequalification and Bidding processes, Construction Documents, Construction and Closeout stages. The qualifications required for the Project include: competence to perform the required design-build services; ability in terms of workload and the availability of qualified personnel, equipment, and facilities; past performance; compliance with sections 4703.182, 4703.332, and 4733.16 of the Revised Code; financial responsibility; history of performance with workforce inclusion and affirmative action programs; and other qualifications as described in the Request for Qualifications ("RFQ").
