NOTICE TO BIDDERS   Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City Engineer of the City of Independence at the Engineering Department, Annex Building, 6335 Selig Drive, Independence, Ohio 44131, until 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday April 1st, 2026, for proposals for the BRECKSVILLE ROAD PHASE 1 WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT for the City of Independence, according to specifications on file.  All bidders are required to comply with Chapter 158 of the City's Codified Ordinances. Failure to comply with any provision therein may be grounds for disqualification.  Deposit for each set of specifications is $150.00, which is not refundable and shall be made payable to the City of Independence.  Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in same and shall be accompanied by a one hundred percent (100%) bid bond or a certified check in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the net bid submitted, payable to the City of Independence, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract pursuant thereto will be entered into.
