ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS AKRON CANTON AIRPORT AUTHOITY AKRON CANTON AIRPORT RUNWAY 1-19 REHABILITATION AIP Project No.: 3-39-0001-086-2025 Sealed bids will be received by the Akron Canton Airport Authority via a secure online network through the Bid Express® service, until 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2026. Proposals will then be publicly opened and read, for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment and performing all work necessary for the Runway 1-19 Rehabilitation. This project will mill and overlay Runway 1-19 including the intersection with Runway 5-23 and several taxiway connectors. The work will also include sawcut grooving the pavement and painting pavement markings with reflective media. The project also includes the removal, replacement and relocation of both supplemental wind cones as well as the replacement of the Runway Weather Information System (RWIS) and the associated runway pavement sensors. Alternate Bid #1 includes the installation of additional runway sensors in Runway 5-23 pavement. A complete set of electronic bid documents, including plans, specifications, and bid proposal package, will be available on Thursday, February 12, 2026 in electronic PDF format online atbidexpress.com. A public bid opening will be held by virtual video teleconference on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Any person who wishes to participate in the teleconference shall send an email message to Daniel Ford at dford@chasolutions.com by 4:00 pm (EST) on Thursday, March 12, 2026, and an email invitation will be returned for the following day's teleconference. A Cashier's Check or Certified Check drawn on a solvent bank authorized to do business in the State of Ohio, payable to the Akron Canton Airport Authority, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the contract price, or a Bid Guaranty Bond executed by the bidder and a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio and satisfactory to the Authority in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price shall be submitted with each bid. A Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) on the contract price will be required. A Maintenance Bond in the amount of twenty percent (20%) of the amount of the contract will be required and shall guarantee against defective or inferior materials or workmanship which may develop during the period of one (1) year from the date of the Owner's final settlement with the contractor. Bids may be held by the Akron Canton Airport Authority for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract. The right is reserved, as Akron Canton Airport Authority may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received. This project is subject to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended. The Contractor is required to comply with wage and labor provisions and to pay minimum wages in accordance with the schedule of wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor.
