ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE TO BIDDERS FOR REHABILITATE NW GA APRON AT THE AKRON CANTON AIRPORT North Canton, Ohio Sealed proposals will be received by the Akron Canton Regional Airport Authority at the Akron Canton Airport Administration Offices, 4th Floor, Terminal Building until March 13, 2026, 1:00pm, local time. The bids will be received and publicly opened and read aloud at that date and time. Bids received after March 13, 2026, 1:00P.M. will not be accepted. Project: Rehabilitate NW GA Apron Sealed bids submitted via mail should be sent to the following address: Akron Canton Regional Airport Authority 5400 Lauby Road NW, North Canton, OH 44720 Project Description: The proposed project generally includes the mill and overlay of the NW GA apron, crack repairs, base repairs, and installation of aircraft tie-down anchors. This work shall include the following: • 2” mill and overlay of the northern portion of the GA apron (17,000 SY) • 4” mill and overlay of the southern portion of the GA apron (8,500 SY) • Crack repair (7,000 LF) • Full depth base repair (500 SY) • Aircraft tie-down anchors (15) All proposals must be submitted as One Original and One Copy according to the request for proposals and upon a uniform proposal blank. The contract shall be let in accordance with Bidding Documents (as defined in the Instructions to Bidders included therein) on file at the Akron Canton Airport, 5400 Lauby Road NW, North Canton, OH 44720. On February 12, 2026 plans and specifications can be viewed and ordered at www.neblueprint.com under the All Public Jobs button or by contacting Northeast Blueprint directly at (216) 261-7500. Contractors must purchase the bid documents at their own expense. A receipt for the purchase of the bid packet must be included as a part of a properly submitted bid. Accordingly, without the inclusion of the receipt, the bid will be deficient. A pre-bid conference will be held at the Akron-Canton Airport's 2nd Floor Board Room at 5400 Lauby Road NW, North Canton, OH 44720, at 10:00 A.M. EST, on February 20, 2026. A site visit will be accommodated with one person per company following the meeting. Each bid shall contain the full name of each person or company submitting a bid and shall be accompanied by either: (1) A bond in accordance with division (B) of the ORC 153.54 for the full amount of the bid; or (2) A certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the ORC, in accordance with division (C) of ORC 153.54. Any such letter of credit is revocable only at the option of the Akron Canton Regional Airport Authority. The amount of the certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit shall be equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid. Bidders are advised that HB 308 rules apply. Contractors or suppliers shall furnish MSDS sheets for any hazardous substance brought onto the Airport property and/or job site. The successful bidder, upon receipt of the Notice of Acceptance of the bids, must furnish a Payment and Performance Bond in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, to the Akron Canton Regional Airport Authority, said Bonds to be unconditionally payable to the Akron Canton Regional Airport Authority, in accordance with ORC 153.54(C)(1). Said Bonds to be that of an approved Surety Company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio, and shall be underwritten by a Surety that is listed on the most current Department of the Treasury Circular 570, "Surety Companies Acceptance on Federal Bonds". Upon rejection of any bid, the Bid Guaranty shall forthwith be returned to the unsuccessful bidder, upon the acceptance of a bid, the Bid Guaranty shall be returned to the successful bidder upon the proper execution of the Contract. If, at the determination of the Airport Authority, the acceptance of the lowest and best bid is not in the best interest of all concerned, said Authority may accept another bid so opened. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid during a period of one hundred fifty (150) calendar days after the date of the bid opening. All bids must be identified by marking sealed envelope: AKRON CANTON AIRPORT REHABILITATE NW GA APRON Any questions regarding the contract documents should be emailed no later than 5:00 P.M. The Akron Canton Regional Airport Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and to waive all informalities. The Akron Canton Regional Airport Authority, may reject any or all of the bids on any basis and without all disclosure of a reason. The failure to make such a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right claim, or cause of action by an unsuccessful bidder against the Akron Canton Regional Airport Authority.
