NOTICE TO BIDDERSSealed bids will be received by the Board of Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Ohio, in their Office in the Courthouse, 301 Market Street, Steubenville, Ohio 43952, until 9:30 A.M., on Thursday, March 12, 2026, for the YEAR 2026 TREE REMOVAL PROJECT, for the Jefferson County Engineering Department.Specifications may be secured from the Office of the Board of Commissioners, Courthouse, 301 Market Street, Steubenville, Ohio 43952.A CERTIFIED CHECK or a BID BOND, drawn upon an acceptable Surety Company, in an amount of Five Percent (5%) of the total bid, including all alternates, is to be submitted with all bids, said BOND, or CERTIFIED CHECK is to be made unconditionally payable to the Board of Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Ohio.Bids for the above described services must be submitted on blanks furnished with the bidding documents.All bids must be identified by marking sealed envelope-BID-YEAR 2026 TREE REMOVAL PROJECT.If, at the determination of the Board of Commissioners, the acceptance of the lowest and best bid is not in the best interest of all concerned, said Board of Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, may accept another bid so opened.Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 9.24, it is now mandatory that prior to awarding of contracts for goods, services or construction for Jefferson County, a search must be made on the FINDING FOR RECOVERY DATABASE of the Auditor of the State of Ohio, to determine if a prospective successful bidder has a finding against it for non-payment of an obligation to the State or political subdivision thereof.The Board of Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Ohio, reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities.
