NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
McCARTHY/TESZLER SPECIAL SCHOOL
FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 OPERATING BUDGET
 
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by McCarthy/Teszler Special School at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday the 2nd day of June, 2026. The hearing will be held at the Spartanburg County School District Seven Administration Building, which is located at 610 Dupre Drive.
 
As required by Section 6-1-80, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, the public is advised of the following:
 
1. The budget of McCarthy/Teszler Special School for the current Fiscal Year calls for revenues of $27,350,000 and expenditures of $27,350,000.
 
2. The proposed budget of McCarthy/Teszler Special School for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 calls for revenues of $25,350,000 and expenditures of $29,250,000.
 
3. The proposed revenues for the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 operating budget of McCarthy/Teszler Special School represents a 6.9% increase in revenues from the operating budget for the current Fiscal Year.
 
4. Ad valorem property taxes in the amount of 10.9 mills were levied in the current Fiscal Year to meet operational needs of the McCarthy/Teszler Special School.
 
5. The McCarthy/Teszler Special School Board of Trustees estimates that ad valorem property tax revenue of $13,100,000 will be necessary to meet the revenues required by the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 operating budget of the McCarthy/Teszler Special School.
 
6. The previously listed amounts are estimates which could change before the meeting on June 2nd.
