SOUTHWEST ISD PRIVATE   NON-PROFIT SCHOOLS:  NOTIFICATION OF EQUITABLE SERVICES      For Private Non-Profit Schools within Southwest ISD boundaries, you may be eligible for services through federal programs. As pursuant to SEC 1117, regarding the CARES Act funding and Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), equitable services consultation with the Private Non-Profit (PNP) school is required to determine funding and services for the 2026-2027 school year.    Federal program services available to eligible private school students, parents/guardians and teachers are: Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Part B (IDEA-B); IDEA-B Preschool Program; Title I, Part A, Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged; Migrant Education Program; Title II, Part A, Teacher and Principal Training and Recruiting Fund; and Title III, English Language Acquisition. If your PNP school would like to be considered for any federal funding you must contact the External Programs department prior to June 4, 2026 to be placed in the ESSA grant.  Schools must be able to prove address within district boundaries and non-profit status (ex. 501c3).
