SILVER LAKE WATER & SEWER DISTRICT CALL FOR BIDS Cast Iron Water Main Replacement Project Phase 1 Evergreen Ridge SLWSD Project No. 24-0002 Silver Lake Water & Sewer District will accept sealed bids by physical delivery to the front counter of the Silver Lake Water & Sewer District building at 15205 41st Avenue SE, Bothell, WA, 98012, addressed to Hawk Radosevich, Associate Engineer, Silver Lake Water & Sewer District, until 10:00 am, local time on March 23, 2026. Alternatively, Silver Lake Water & Sewer District will accept emailed bids timely submitted to the Districts bid proposal email address: proposals@slwsd.com until 10:00 am local time on March 23, 2026. Emailed bids shall only include PDF attachments. Links to download bid submittals will not be accepted. The District will not consider bids received after the above times and dates. Emailed bids shall be accompanied by a copy of the required bid bond if applicable. At 11:00 am on the same date, bids will be publicly opened and read online, accessible via a Microsoft Teams meeting. Project Description: The work to be performed for this project consists of removing and disposing of cast iron and ductile iron pipe water mains; installing 6-inch and 8-inch diameter ductile iron pipe water main; removing valves and installing gate valves; removing and replacing service lines; removing and replacing hydrants; permitting; construction survey and staking; project temporary traffic control; construction sequencing; temporary water pollution and erosion prevention; utility potholing; removing and replacing road pavement; pavement planning and asphalt overlay: concrete sidewalk, curb ramp and driveway replacements; adjustment of utility cover(s); channelization; restoring the site including property restoration; and other related work. The Engineers estimated cost of the project is between $2,000,000 and $2,600,000 with 100 working days in the contract, and there are no State or Federal funds associated with this project. This contract involves public work. Workers performing work in conjunction with the project shall receive the prevailing rate of wage pursuant to the State Prevailing Wages requirements. Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "Silver Lake Water & Sewer District". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders Register in order to receive automatic email notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to CB-ii periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. Access to project documents is intended for use by bidders (general contractors/prime bidders, subcontractors and suppliers), agency personnel and agencys consultants, as well as for personal, noncommercial, use by the public. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the District.
