SILVER LAKE WATER & SEWER DISTRICT CALL FOR BIDS Cast Iron Main Replacement Phase 2 Silver Lake Water & Sewer District (District) will accept sealed bids by physical delivery to the front counter of the Silver Lake Water & Sewer District building at 15205 41st Avenue SE, Bothell, WA, 98012, addressed to Paj Hwang, P.E., District Engineer, Silver Lake Water & Sewer District, until 10:00AM, local time on MARCH 3, 2026. Alternatively, Silver Lake Water & Sewer District will accept emailed bids timely submitted to the Districts bid proposal email address: proposals@slwsd.com until 10:00AM, local time on MARCH 3, 2026. Emailed bids shall only include PDF attachments. Links to download bid submittals will not be accepted. The District will not consider bids received after the above times and dates. Emailed bids shall be accompanied by a copy of the required bid bond if applicable. At 11:00AM at the District office, the bids will be publicly opened and read out loud. Project Description: The work to be performed for this project consists of water improvements. Water main improvements include but are not limited to construction of approximately 1,340 linear feet of new 12-inch diameter DI water main, approximately 4,060 linear feet of new 8-inch diameter DI water main, approximately 60 linear feet of new 6-inch diameter DI water main, isolation valving, 116 water service connections, 11 fire hydrants, 5 combination air release/vacuum valve assemblies, 19 connections to existing water main, removal, haul, and disposal of approximately 660 linear feet of existing 4-, 6-, 8-, and 10-inch diameter water main, and abandonment of existing 4-, 6-, and 8-inch diameter water main. Additional work includes temporary and permanent trench patching, a 2-inch grind and overlay, channelization, restoration, temporary erosion control, and traffic control. The Engineers estimated cost of the project is $4,332,000 with 140 working days in the contract. All work performed on this project will be subject to state prevailing wage rates. Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project.
