Notice of SEPA Comment PeriodKittitas County Comprehensive Plan and Development RegulationsProject Name (File Number): Kittitas County Periodic Comprehensive Plan, CAO and Development Regulations Update (SE-26-00002)Applicant: Kittitas CountyLocation: The Kittitas County Comprehensive Plan and associated CAO and Development Regulations impact all of Kittitas County.Proposal: Kittitas County is initiating the adoption process for its 2026-2046 Comprehensive Plan Periodic Update. In addition to proposed changes to the Comprehensive Plan, the update includes proposed amendments to development and critical area regulations. The Comprehensive Plan is used to plan for growth in Kittitas County for the next 20 years. The Washington State Growth Management Act requires all participating jurisdictions to update this plan every ten years.Materials Available for Review: The complete SEPA Checklist and application file may be viewed at Kittitas County Community Development Services, 411 N. Ruby St. Suite 2, Ellensburg, WA 98926. The file documents can also be viewed online at kittitascounty2026.com.Written Comments from the public may be submitted to the Kittitas County Community Development Services no later than Monday, April 27 , 2026 at 5:00 p.m., or they can be submitted at the email address: comments@kittitascounty2026.com. Please clarify in the subject line if your comments relate to the Comprehensive Plan, development regulations, or the critical area updates.Following the comment period a SEPA threshold determination will be issued pursuant to 43.21C RCW (State Environmental Policy Act). A copy of the threshold determination will be available to the public upon request.
