LEGAL NOTICE The Ellensburg Water Company will be applying aquatic weed herbicides to its irrigation canals, laterals, wasteways and drains between April 1 through October 20, 2026 in accordance with Washington Department of Ecology Administrative Order No. 01WQHQ-2979. The purpose of the herbicide applications is to control aquatic weeds within the irrigation delivery system. Treatments will be made to a majority of the irrigation facilities within the boundaries of the Ellensburg Water Company located in Kittitas County. The herbicides to be used for aquatic weed control are Endothall (Cascade) and Teton. Applications are generally made starting in April and ending in October. Depending on weather and other conditions, applications may be necessary on an as needed basis. Application sites will be posted with the name and telephone number of the Ellensburg Water Company.
