CITY OF YAKIMA Request for Statement of Qualifications Thickener System Repairs and Improvements (CIP SH03 / SH04) (Project No. WF2893) Design and Engineering Services - City of Yakima Wastewater Treatment Plant The City of Yakima is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from architectural/engineering firms to provide design services and construction phase services for repairs and improvements to the WWTP Thickener System (WAS thickening via DAFT with polymer/feed systems, thickened sludge pumping, and related process controls). The complete Request for Qualifications (RFQ) may be found here: https://www.yakimawa.gov /services/engineering/rfps-rfqs/ SOQs shall be limited to ten (10) pages front and back and shall include the following information: key personnel, familiarity with City of Yakima and/or other similar municipalities, familiarity with WSDOT standards, firm experience with PS&E designing pedestrian facilities and crossings, ability to meet schedule, and past performance/references. Statements of Qualifications will be evaluated on a competitive basis using the above criteria. The City will score the received Statements of Qualifications and may conduct interviews. SOQs shall be received by 2:00 P.M., March 3, 2026, by email to Walt Hansen City of Yakima Chief Utility Project Manager at Walter.Hansen@yakimawa.gov. The City of Yakima, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
