ORDINANCE NO. 26-331WHEREAS, Dave Gallaher, known in the community as “Microwave Dave”, was aninternationally renowned musician and an advocate for musical education and accessibility in theCity of Huntsville and broader Tennessee Valley community; andWHEREAS, in addition to these laudable and widely known accomplishmentsMicrowave Dave was also an avid lover of animals who cherished the bond between humans andanimals, frequently participating in traditional celebrations of animals and ecology that call forprotection, healing, and compassion for pets and wildlife; andWHEREAS, the City of Huntsville, Alabama, is leasing an area of right-of-way ownedby the State of Alabama and utilized as a dog park currently known as the “Downtown DogSpot” located generally along the road currently known as Cleveland Avenue, between ChurchStreet and Meridian Street, and more particularly described in Resolution No. 24-157; andWHEREAS
