NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District (District) of Los Angeles County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the Owner or District, will receive prior to 9:00 a.m. on the 5th day of May 2026, sealed bids for the award of a contract for: BID NO. 045260528 MEASURE SOS 2026 ROOFING PROJECT FOR THE FOLLOWING SCHOOL SITES: SCHOOL SITE LOCATION SCHOOL SITE LOCATION LUNADA BAY ELEMENTARY 0170000 SILVER SPUR ELEMENTARY 0240000 MIRA CATALINA ELEMENTARY 0180000 SOLEADO ELEMENTARY 0250000 MONTEMALAGA ELEMENTARY 0110000 RIDGECREST INTERMEDIATE 0380000 POINT VICENTE ELEMENTARY 0220000 PALOS VERDES HIGH SCHOOL 0430000 All bids shall be made and presented on the forms presented by the Owner. Bids shall be received in the office of the Purchasing Department, located at 38 Crest Road West, Rolling Hills, CA 90274, and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above stated time and place . Any bids received after the time specified above or after any extensions due to material changes shall be returned unopened. Responses must be sealed and clearly marked MEASURE SOS 2026 ROOFING PROJECT , BID NO. 045260528. Facsimile or electronic copies of the bid will not be accepted. The Contact Time is three hundred and sixtyfive (365) days. This Contract is subject to prequalification pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6 and all contractors and subcontractors were required to be approved in PQBids by the close of business on March 20, 2026, in accordance with Prequalification Notice Order Number: 0011782251. A mandatory PreBid Conference will be held for contractors who are prequalified for this project under Daily Breeze Ad Order Number: 0011782251. The conference is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. PST, but not less than five calendar days after publication of the original notice. The mandatory job walk will take place in the following order: 1. Soleado Elementary, 27800 Longhill Drive, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 2. Ridgecrest Intermediate, 28915 Northbay Road, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 3. Silver Spur Elementary, 5500 Ironwood Street, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 4. Montemalaga Elementary, 1121 Via Nogales, Palos Verdes Estates, CA 5. Point Vicente Elementary, 30540 Rue de La Pierre, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 6. Palos Verdes High School, 600 Cloyden Road, Palos Verdes Estates, CA 7. Lunada Bay Elementary, 520 Paseo Lunado, Palos Verdes Estates, CA 8. Mira Catalina Elementary, 30511 Lucania Drive, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA Any contractor bidding on this project who fails to attend the entire mandatory job walk and conference will be deemed a nonresponsive bidder and will have its bid returned unopened. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and be licensed to perform the work called for in the Contractor Documents. The successful bidder must possess a valid Class C39 license at the time of bid and throughout the duration of the contract. The contractor's California State license number shall be clearly stated on the bid. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code. No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the California Business and Profession Code at the time the bid is submitted. Subcontractors shall be licensed pursuant to California law for the trades necessary to perform the work called for in the contract documents. Each bid must conform and be responsive to this notice and all other documents comprising the contract documents. Prospective bidders may secure a set of bid documents and may obtain additional information about this project on the district's website at www.pvpusd.net/bids All forms must be completed, signed, and returned with the bid. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for the receipt of bids. The successful bidder shall file a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety authorized to conduct business in the State of California approved by the District. A performance bond will also be required. This Project is a public works project and is subject to the payment of prevailing wages. The Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract that will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are available to the public on the internet at http://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSR/ The successful bidder and all subcontractor(s) shall comply with all applicable Labor Code provisions, which include, but are not limited to, the payment of not less than the required prevailing rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the Contract, the employment of apprentices, the hours of labor and the debarment of contractors and subcontractors. Each Bidder submitting a bid must be a Department of Industrial Relations registered contractor pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 (DIR Registered Contractor), unless an exception expressly provided in the Labor Code applies. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. If awarded the Contract, at all times during performance of the work, the Bidder and all Subcontractors of any tier shall be DIR Registered Contractors and continue to comply with all DIR requirements. Separate payment and performance bonds, each in the amount equal to 100% of the total Contract amount issued by a California admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, are required, and shall be provided to the Owner prior to execution of the contract and shall be in the form set forth in the contract documents. The district reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or reject any one or more items of a bid, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding process.
