NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS CALLING FOR BIDS CORONA-NORCO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT BID NO. 2025-26-290VAPA Theater Lighting at River Heights Intermediate, Raney Intermediate, Coronal Fundamental Intermediate, and El Cerrito Middle School In accordance with Public Contract Code 20111, Notice is hereby given that the CORONA- NORCO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, hereinafter referred to as "DISTRICT", will receive up to, but no later than 10:00 a.m., on March 17, 2026, sealed bids for the award of a contract for: VAPA Theater Lighting at River Heights Intermediate, Raney Intermediate, Corona Fundamental Intermediate, and El Cerrito Middle School A mandatory pre-bid conference and job walk will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the District Office 2820 Clark Ave, Norco, CA 92860, Purchasing Department, for the purpose of discussing the bid documents, answering any questions generated by those in attendance, and viewing the project sites. Submission of all bids shall be made electronically via the Bonfire E-Procurement Platform, available at https://cnusdk12.bonfirehub.com/, no later than the above bid due date and time. Bids received after the deadline will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Bids shall be electronically un-sealed and publicly read aloud at the stated date, time and place. Each bidder shall possess, at the time the bid is awarded, a valid Class C-7 license pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 3300. The successful contractor shall maintain the license throughout the duration of the contract. Small businesses and firms owned and controlled by women, minorities and persons with disabilities and/or disabled veterans are encouraged to participate in this solicitation. Bidders who do not meet the above criteria, are strongly encouraged to solicit these businesses/firms as subcontractors. The CONTRACTOR and all subcontractors shall comply with the prevailing wage requirements set forth in Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1 of the Labor Code. Contractors or subcontractors submitting bids must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Per Senate Bill 854, all contractors and subcontractors intending to bid or perform work on public works projects will be required to register, and annually renew, online for the program. The requirement to use only registered contractors and subcontractors on public works projects, greater than $1,000.00, applies to all projects awarded on or after April 1, 2015. No bid can be accepted nor any contract or subcontract entered into nor contract issued without proof that the contractor or subcontractor is registered. Each bid must conform and be responsive to the bid documents and require a bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid.
