Project: A public hearing before the City Council to consider a Zoning Code Amendment to Title 9 of the Jurupa Valley Municipal Code to establish a ministerial (by-right) approval process and objective development standards for multifamily housing developments on sites rezoned pursuant to Program HE 1.1.1 of the City’s 6th Cycle Housing Element. The proposed amendment implements California Government Code Section 65583.2(h) and (j). The Planning Commission recommended approval of the proposed Zoning Code Amendment to the City Council pursuant to Resolution No. PC-0009.California Environmental Quality Act. The initiation of a Zoning Code Amendment is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 21080.085 and CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3), because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the action may have a significant effect on the environment.The item will be considered at a public hearing.
