LEGAL NOTICE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)Notice OF 30-DAY REVIEW PERIOD AND PUBLIC HEARING FOR APPROVAL OF THE DRAFT 2026-27 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on or after Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Lodi City Council Chambers, 305 West Pine Street, Lodi, CA 95240 to consider the approval of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program 2026-27 Annual Action Plan, as well as to allow for public comment on this matter. As a recipient of CDBG funding, the City has developed the 2026-27 Annual Action Plan, which generally describes how the City will utilize program funds for eligible activities during the 2026-27 program year. The Annual Action Plan can be amended as needed to reallocate funds to housing and community development activities. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides the City an annual CDBG grant award. The City will receive $665,263 in CDBG funds for the 2026-27 program year. The CDBG program provides funding for activities that benefit low-income persons, eliminate slum or blight, or serve an urgent need. Eligible activities include property acquisition, public improvements, housing rehabilitation, economic development, and public services. Plan documents were made available to the public for a 30-day review period before adoption by the City Council. The documents were released on May 2, 2026, for public review and comment and were available at City Hall and the City’s Community Development website: https://www.lodi.gov/183/Community-Development-Block-Grant-Progra . A public hearing is being held on or sometime after June 3, 2026 to adopt the Annual Action Plan. The purpose of the public hearing on June 3, 2026 will be to give citizens an opportunity to make their comments known regarding community needs, goals, and potential activities to be funded under the CDBG Program.
